Dear Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band Families,
Here is the first OFFICIAL San Francisco trip letter that includes vital and time-sensitive information.
1. The Trip March 24 (Wednesday) Depart KRHS at 3:00 PM. Travel by charter coaches to San Francisco.
March 25 (Thursday) Arrive San Francisco area for breakfast. Spend remainder of day sight-seeing with Fishermans Wharf as our base. Travel to south bay area for hotel check in and dinner. Get a good night's sleep!
March 26 (Friday) Possible late AM or early afternoon activity (Hard Rock Cafe?), but depends on when we get scheduled for performances in late afternoon/evening. All performances - Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, and Orchestra - will happen on this day. Pizza dinner.
March 27 (Saturday) This is opening day at the Great America theme park and you have an all-day pass! The park is with walking distance of the hotel (if they put us where they have the last three times I've gone). The festival awards banquet will be held on the park grounds in early evening.
March 28 (Sunday) Pack up, travel a few miles to breakfast, head for home.
2. The Cost As mentioned earlier, the cost of the trip is $535/person. We have already made a deposit payment (borrowed from ASB account) but the first payment ($150/person) will be due by January 15, 2010. Payments can be made to Mary Jablonsky, KR cashier. Please bring receipt to Mr. Baldock. A second payment ($150) will be due by Feb. 16, and the balance ($235) will be due by March 12.
Fund-raised money may be used for any of the payments, but you must let Mr. B know if that's what you want. Funds will NOT be transferred unless instructed by you.
3. What needs to happen NOW? a. Fill out the attached form and return it by Monday, Dec. 7. b. Start chooosing your roommates (quad occupancy) and get it on the rooming list. c. Get all excited!!
4. Other A couple of you have talked to me about alternate travel arrangements. Please remind me on the return form of your plans.
