David Baldock, the Kentridge High School Band Director, is in his 39th year as a public school music educator. He has a BA from Wheaton College (IL) and an MA from Central Washington University. Before moving to the Seattle area, Mr. Baldock worked at Wenatchee High School where he taught jazz bands, guitar, music theory, and oversaw an award-winning marching band and wind ensemble program. He has organized numerous festivals and contests, and he has held a wide range of leadership positions with regional and state music educator organizations. In the Spring of 2000, David was named WIAA / WMEA Teacher of the Year, and he is listed in "Who's Who" of American Teachers.

While teaching at Cedar Heights Junior High School (Kent), he was chosen as recipient of the Outstanding Educator award, and in 2008 was honored with the same award at Kentridge High School. He has also taught instrumental music in Cashmere (WA), Springfield (MA), and in Crete (IL). David currently is a member of the Tacoma Concert Band, and was a founding member of the Wenatchee British Brass Band and Puget Brass Band. He is active as a clinician, adjudicator, and brass coach.

David is married to Priscilla, formerly the choral teacher at Kentlake High School, and they have two grown boys. Matthew (married to Sarah) is a Snohomish County Assistant prosecutor and Steve is in management for AT&T Mobility. David and Priscilla are also the proud grandparents of Brendan, age 6, and twin granddaughters Kate and Hannah, age 2.
